Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of lukewarm milk
  • 2 ½ cups De Molen [Ambrosia Whole Wheat Flour]
  • 1 pack of dried yeast
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bottle of sunflower oil
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 apples (diced)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • pinch of salt

 

Preparation

  1. Soak the raisins in water for 15 min.
  2. Stir the dried yeast and sugar into the milk and let sit for 5 min.
  3. Add De Molen Ambrosia Whole Wheat Flour and a pinch of salt to a mixing bowl. Slowly pour in the milk mixture and mix to a sticky batter. Then mix in the egg.
  4. Add apples and the soaked raisins. Cover the bowl and let rise for 60 minutes.
  5. Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan to 180°C.
  6. Scoop one ball of batter into the oil at a time. Turn regularly. After about 6 minutes, the doughnut balls are golden brown and cooked through. Drain on kitchen paper. Sprinkle with powdered sugar once cooled
